Who makes EquiDiary

EquiDiary is one person’s work, not a company with a support queue. That is worth knowing before you trust it with your horse’s records.

The person behind it

EquiDiary is built and run by Sebastien Kister, from Mérida in Yucatán, Mexico. He writes the app, the guides, and the emails it sends you. Anything sent to support@equidiary.com reaches him directly — there is no queue in between.

It exists because a horse’s history usually does not: it is spread across a paper folder, a phone gallery, a WhatsApp thread with the yard, and whatever the last owner remembered to pass on. The app is an attempt to keep it in one place that survives changing vets, yards and owners.

How the guides are written

Each guide is written for one market rather than translated into it, because the rules genuinely differ — Belgium keeps the FEI six-month flu rule where the Netherlands still accepts an annual booster, and Austria requires six months and 21 days where Switzerland accepts 365 days.

Every guide names the published protocol or national register it draws on, and carries the date its content was last checked. They summarise published guidance: they are not veterinary advice, and where something turns on a clinical judgement they say so and send you to your vet. No veterinarian has reviewed them. If that changes, the reviewer will be named, with their credential, on the pages they checked.
